Here I stand
Surrounded by rubble
The remnants of walls that once held me in
All around I see nothing but desolation
A wasteland that once held
The greatest of mazes
A thick dust covers the land
Rising from the debris
Of my now destroyed defenses
I sway
It was not meant to be this way
Is this bleak world
Really my own?
Further I slip
But where do I have to fall?
Any familiar place
Is strewn among the rubble around me
Then I hear it
A voice within the dust
Singing, Fall on me
I freeze
The voice penetrating my very core
Guiding me slowly as I fall
Tears streaming
I fall into your arms
And know, finally I am safe
Opening my eyes I come to see
That no longer do I stand in desolation
But a beautiful garden is set before me
Shimmering with our love
Holding you close
Feeling our hearts beat in time
I smile and whisper
I am home

Each day has enough trouble of its own...
